Thinner doesn’t mean healthier as several thin people have a lower-than-desired lean mass percentage, resulting in diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. For a more professional take, have a skin fold measurement conducted at various parts of the body. The ideal percentage of fat for males is 10-20% (30% and above is obese); for females, it is 15-25% (above 35% is obese). An obvious indicator is your waistline: if your pants are becoming baggy but your weight is not changing too much, you know that you are heading in the right direction 👍
