Why we should read the ingredients

All consumers are urged to read the Nutrition Facts label to determine trans fatty acid intake; however, this is impossible to do because food items with less than 0.5 trans fat appear as 0g. Solution: check the ingredient list for the words HYDROGENATED or PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED OIL (an indication that product contains trans fatty acids). #BeASmartConsumer
